Earthquake near Fukushima, Japan
 Situation overview
The magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan around 6 AM Japan Time on Tuesday 22 November. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami warning for the coastal areas of Fukushima.

FCSS is monitoring the situation.
- The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a warning for tsunami of up to 3 meters.
- A tsunami of 90 centimeters was observed at Soma Port in the city of Soma (Fukushima prefecture) after 7 AM.
- The official says they had received no reports of damage as of 6:30 AM.

 Status of request for assistance

"As for situation, please be informed that according to the press conference by Chief Cabinet Secretary, Prime Minister has instructed concerned Ministries and authorities to mobilize their resources to respond to this earthquake and so far there is no information on major damages by this Earthquake and Tsunami."
