Brush fires in Israel
 Situation overview
Hundreds of brushfires have been burning across North and Central Israel, beginning on 21/11. Dryness and high winds have created conditions for extreme fire danger. Weather conditions are not expected to improve before Tuesday, 29/11.

Over 3000 firefighters (including reserves who have been activated) are working in the field, in coordination with Israel Police, local authorities, and other government ministries. Several residential neighborhoods in Haifa have been endangered.

Throughout all of the fires, 65,000 total residents have been evacuated.

In addition to all aerial firefighting assets available to Israel, several countries have offered bilateral assistance. Joint aerial firefighting operations are being conducted in the Haifa and Beit Meir areas.

FCSS is in close contact with the National Emergency Management Authority of Israel and monitors the situation.
 Status of request for assistance
Countries with the ability to assist with aerial firefighting are encouraged to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Situation Room: matzav@mfa.gov.il and the National Emergency Management Authority: Samuel_kornfield@mod.gov.il - nema@mod.gov.il
