Earthquake in Croatia
 Situation overview
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit central Croatia today, causing major damage to homes and other buildings in Petrinja, a town 46 kilometres southeast of the capital. Authorities confirmed that a 12-year-old girl was killed and at least 20 people were injured in the quake. Initial reports said the earthquake caused wide damage, collapsing roofs, building facades and some entire buildings. The same area was struck by a 5.2 quake on Monday and several smaller aftershocks were felt today.
UNOCHA's Emergency Response Section is in contact with Zagreb Civil Protection and has offered international assistance. The authorities are currently conducting assessments and do not require international assistance at this stage.
