Private Sector Partnerships and the Connecting Business initiative program at HNPW
About the programmeOrganized by OCHA in collaboration with humanitarian partners, the Private Sector Partnerships programme will build on the outcomes of previous private sector sessions at the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) and highlight recent trends about the collaboration with the humanitarian community and the private sector. It will look into different modalities on how the private sector is collaborating with humanitarian actors and is increasingly integrated in humanitarian coordination structures and mechanisms.

Where appropriate, private sector actors are increasingly joining government-led disaster management structures and emergency response mechanisms, as well as those of international humanitarian responders. The programme will explore different engagement models in the context of sudden-onset crises and complex emergencies, showcase lessons learned and recommend key points to consider when integrating the private sector in humanitarian coordination structures. Expected outcomes• Information-sharing and exchange of lessons learned in integrating private sector in humanitarian coordination structures and mechanisms.
• Developing recommendations and good practices to consider when collaborating with private sector.
• Encouraging active engagement of private sector participants in the entire HNPW, not just in the dedicated private sector program.
