Importation and Customs in humanitarian relief operations (IMPACCT Project)
 About us
During an emergency, bureaucratic bottlenecks related to entry customs clearance result due to a lack of simplified and appropriate procedures for humanitarian relief consignments. Such bottlenecks have significant consequences on the delivery of relief to the people in need. There are many stakeholders involved in Customs clearance during emergencies, including Customs administrations, UN agencies, NGOs and donors of aid. Therefore, it is imperative for an efficient response that these stakeholders are prepared regarding the processes for humanitarian relief importation as well as there being suitable procedures in place to support this.
