UNDAC Roster Consultancy Contracts Instructions

Dear UNDAC member,

Congratulations on successfully completing the UNDAC Induction Course. You are now ready to join the UNDAC Roster!

Individuals representing a government will be designated as National UNDAC Members and will receive a UN consultancy contract. While this contract does not include a salary, it ensures that you are fully covered by UN Rules and Regulations when deploying to emergencies or attending UNDAC-related training, representing the organization.

A UNDAC contract is valid for a period of 2 years, and you will have the opportunity to renew it once it expires. Along with your UNDAC contract, you will receive by post a UN Certificate (UNC), which serves as a form of UN identification. The UNC has the same validity as your contract and will need to be returned to OCHA to be renewed.

In line with UN Secretariat rules, the issuance of a UNDAC contract and a UNC involves a comprehensive administrative and procedural process, requiring various steps and supporting documentation.

Considering that our administrative staff handles a high volume of contracts and renewals, we kindly request that you take the lead in submitting all the necessary documents in a timely manner and in full accordance with our requirements. With this in mind, we ask that you carefully review and comply with the instructions outlined below. The issuance of a UNDAC contract and the UNC should take between 3 to 6 weeks once all the documentation has been provided to OCHA.

Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out to your regional administrative support staff, whose contact information can be found below.
