Session title: Developing Local Human Resources for Humanitarian Logistics
25 Apr 23 11:00-12:30   (Salle 2)

SessionAbstract

Are you interested in learning about how local and national organizations can improve their humanitarian operations? Would you like to know how different stakeholders can work together to establish common standards and processes? Please join us for a briefing session on the Fritz Institute Humanitarian Logistics Certification Program, which aims to establish common good practices and harmonize processes  and terminology across the sector.

We are pleased to have a panel of learners share their experiences and the benefits they've gained from the program. They will discuss how the program has helped them increase their proficiency in humanitarian supply chain management, and how it has supported their career pathway.

We will also discuss the recent conversion of one of the certifications to e-learning, and its addition to the DisasterReady platform. This conversion has made the program more accessible and useful to learners, while offering two learning pathways: 1) a fee-based full certification 2) or a no-cost certificate of completion.

In addition, we will talk about an annual award that recognizes the value of humanitarian logistics and supply chain management. We hope you will join us for this informative briefing session and learn the program's success can benefit the supply chain learning needs of your organization.

Speakers

Mitsuko Mizushuma, Chief Logistics Office & Program Director, Fritz Institute
