Session title: On target? accelerating humanitarian climate programming
18 Mar 25 14:00-15:00

SessionAbstract

Since its launch in May 2021, over 450 humanitarian organisations have signed up to the Climate and Environmental Charter for Humanitarian Organisations. Signatories are expected to work towards fulfilling a number of committments, using targets as a way of setting and achieving goals, as well as supportng their progress towards these committments.

This session will outline lessons learnt by charter signatories as they have worked through this process, outlining 'what works' in developing and using targets to make changes in an organisation. It features the experiences of three organisations, who will share the actions that they are taking to address the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation, and tips on using the Charter to make change happen.
