This session will provide an update on the implementation of the IASC Climate Crisis Roadmap, with a focus on risk-informed coordination, analysis, programming, and financing across key IASC processes such as the Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC).

Response preparedness and anticipatory action are key modalities for getting ahead of predictable risks, with efforts ongoing to better integrate these approaches into the HPC. At the same time, in a context of sharply reduced humanitarian funding, enhancing advocacy and collaboration with development partners and financing actors for increased investments in long-term Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in fragile and conflict-affected contexts is critical.

The event will focus on advances made in risk-informed decision-making, both at inter-cluster and cluster level, as well as remaining challenges.
