SessionAbstract

In the complex landscape of crisis-affected countries, there is an increasing recognition of the need for integrated and sustainable solutions that bridge humanitarian, peace, and development efforts. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partners invite you to a panel session to explore innovative development solutions in crisis settings. The session aims to explore and showcase integrated approaches that foster development and aim to sustain peace amidst humanitarian crises. By convening humanitarian, development, and peace experts, practitioners, and stakeholders, the session will delve into effective models, collaborative initiatives, and success stories that exemplify the power of integrated approaches in crisis-affected and fragile settings.

The session will highlight the cases of Lebanon and Yemen, bringing together voices from the field – local community leaders, government representatives, non-governmental organizations, and UN agencies – to showcase innovations in working across the nexus that resulted in increased resilience of local populations.
