SessionAbstract

To respond to disasters in the most efficient and effective ways, humanitarian logistics must trust in new ways to collaborate.

Based on a scenario of an emergency, the session will demonstrate the power of logistics data sharing and collaboration in support of disaster management.

Representatives from the humanitarian community, alongside government entities including NDMAs, will discuss the benefit of the integration of three databases (Humanitarian Logistics Databank (IHC Dubai), STOCKHOLM (ESUPS) and ASYREC (UNCTAD)) into the
Logistics Cluster Information Exchange platform (LogIE).

The discussion will demonstrate the added value of collaboration towards the localization agenda, as it aids the decision-making process towards the provision of humanitarian aid.
