SessionAbstract

In the complex landscape of crisis-affected countries, there is an increasing recognition of the need for integrated and sustainable solutions that bridge humanitarian, peace,and development efforts. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partners invite you to a panel session to explore innovative development solutions in crisis settings.The session aims to explore and promote innovative approaches that bridge the gap between humanitarian, development, and peace efforts in crisis contexts. Focusing on thesynergybetween public and private partnershipsand innovation, the session will delve into transformative solutionsthat foster resilience, sustainable development, and peacebuilding in the face of humanitarian challenges.

Session objectives

  1. Facilitate Cross-Sectoral Collaboration: Provide a platform for dialogue between humanitarian, development, and peace stakeholders, encouraging collaboration and partnership-building for more comprehensive and sustainable interventions.
  2. Explore Innovative Solutions and Financing Models Discuss and explore innovative financing mechanisms, notably with private sector, that support both immediate humanitarian responses and long-term development goals in crisis settings.

With case studies fromTürkiye, Syria, Indonesia, Libya, Morocco, Ukraine and Gaza.
