SessionAbstract

This interactive working session, hosted by HELP Logistics, in collaboration with the HUMLOG Institute at Hanken School of Economics, aims to identify the essential leadership and management competencies required for future senior supply chain staff in humanitarian operations. By bringing together stakeholders, including practitioners, researchers, and educators, this session offers a platform to workshop and refine concepts developed through the HELP Logistics programme. Through this groundbreaking collaboration, a fundamental knowledge base is being constructed to propel humanitarian organizations towards excellence in logistics and supply chain management. The session underscores the shift in perceiving logistics within the humanitarian sector and highlights the critical need for comprehensive training. The envisioned outcome is to empower a proficient community capable of navigating and optimizing the complexities of humanitarian logistics, ultimately contributing to a more effective future in humanitarian operations.
