The current active conflict phase in Ukraine will have been over twoyears by the time of the 2024 HNPW. This session will focus on the interaction and overlaps between the environmental impacts of the conflict and protracted humanitarian operations leading to discussions on further integration into environment into humanitarian-based operations. Past HNPW meetings on the Ukraine conflict focused on immediate humanitarian operations and environment linkages. This session will consider the Ukraine conflict as a protracted crisis with different challenges and opportunities when compared to a rapid onset crisis.
