We are hearing a lot of anecdotal evidence of the effects of the reduction of humanitarian grant financing on local and national NGOs and localization commitments. In the end of the day – many local and national NGOs – continue to meet needs despite funding shifts. How do these organizations navigate these shifts? Where do they turn to for funding? Can organizations pivot to local giving, online giving, diaspora funding or social enterprise building? With what success, and what type of support can international actors and donors provide to support in this shift? What role are local pooled funds playing to help support this shift, or provide operational funding.
