SessionAbstract

This session explores how the dynamics of armed conflict shapes and constrains the performance of humanitarian operations. We will present insights from ten analysed conflicts, the conflict factors and conflict dynamics identified, and the proposed pathways through which these conflicts influence operational performance.

Participants will then work in small groups to review, interrogate, and validate the causal relationships identified in the various conflict settings. This collaborative exercise aims to ensure that the emerging findings accurately reflect operational realities and to incorporate practitioner expertise into the interpretation of conflict impacts on humanitarian logistics performance.
