SessionAbstract

Crises rarely announce themselves – rather, they strike without warning, creating immediate and evolving challenges for humanitarian operations and the safety of personnel. How can organizations anticipate risks and respond effectively under such conditions? This session will dive into practical strategies for anticipating risks and responding effectively when crisis happens. Drawing on examples from the field, the discussion will highlight how robust security planning, structured response mechanisms, and agile crisis management can protect staff, sustain operations, and strengthen resilience in volatile humanitarian contexts.
