We are excited to invite you to visit our seminar; ”WATER and WASH INNOVATIONS IN HUMANITARIAN CONTEXT”.

Our ambition is to introduce how Finnish public, private and the NGO partnership or-chestrate WATER and WASH humanitarian innovations in protecting lives and liveli-hoods to alleviate suffering.

The Finnish whole of government approach is simple; mutual trust in sharing value added information and division of labour with actors involved. Governmental agencies provide R&D policy guidelines as well as major funding instruments. Universities pro-vide education in innovative problem solving, and businesses community introduces innovates state-of-art solutions needed in the field.

“The Finnish way” is to seek empowerment through co-operation. Inclusion takes place from from bottom up, not the other way around. Our respond is closely linked to major global challenges such as climate crises, pandemics, WATER and WASH.

We work hard at the HNPW 2023 on sharing our best practices to meet future chal-lenges with the global humanitarian community, following the UNSG 2030.
